Energy storage system safety is critical to the continued success and advancement of the industry. Working closely with standards officials, engineers from utilities and grid operators, and system design and technology experts, the continued development of best practices for the industry are of utmost importance.

Attendees will hear firsthand about a fire emergency, where extensive safety protocols resulted in a response that was immediate, strategic, and effective; which included working with local fire officials and emergency responders to ensure that any damages would be minimized and that learnings could be shared with others.

Following this presentation, a panel of energy storage system safety experts will share current best practices and direct, in the field experience with the safe operation of energy storage systems. From system design and safe integration, to system management and operation, to planning for emergencies – the rapid expansion of energy storage industry is leading to the creation of a new culture of safety.
