Adam Green is SolarReserve’s Director of Development, serving as the company's subject matter expert in developing utility-scale solar energy projects with storage. Green supports the development of hundreds of megawatts of solar thermal and photovoltaic projects throughout the southwestern U.S., Mexico, Chile, and Australia. He also leads SolarReserve’s analytical and policy efforts to build a greater understanding of the value of energy storage to the grid, and coordinates the development of new technologies and solutions integrating solar and storage, with a scope including both thermal storage and electrochemical batteries. Green also leads efforts in site prospecting, commercial and real estate negotiations, permitting, solar project optimization, and proposal generation.
Green has over 8 years of development and operational experience in renewable energy. Prior to joining SolarReserve, Green held positions in renewable energy startups and in utility power procurement. Earlier in his career, he was a strategy consultant focusing on M&A due diligence, cost reduction, and growth strategies.
Green earned an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California Los Angeles, and earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in an independent concentration (“Rationality and Decision Making”) from Brown University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. Green has authored a number of technical papers and has two patents pending.
