Rebecca Feuerlicht of the Center for Sustainable Energy (San Diego, Calif.) is the project manager of the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) in the San Diego Gas and Electric utility service territory, a program critically important to the successful deployment of customer-sited energy storage applications in Southern California. As a regional SGIP project manager, Rebecca collaborates with the California Public Utilities Commission and California’s investor-owned utilities to advise and implement program design fostering adoption of clean and efficient distributed energy projects and helping to solve related challenges related to the electric grid. She works with engineering staff, utility customers, project developers and manufacturers representing a broad range of distributed generation technologies including combined heat and power turbines and engines, stationary fuel cells, wind turbines and advanced energy storage. Rebecca graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelor of arts in economics and environmental studies and has a certificate in sustainable business practices from the University of California, San Diego Extension Program.
