Tess Williams, Ph.D.
Tess Williams, Ph.D. is a Senior Power Systems Engineer and leads the Analytics group for Doosan GridTech. She and her team are responsible for modeling and design services engineering to specify the optimal configuration and controls for distributed energy resource projects. She was previously at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where her research focused on the design and operation of electric distribution systems and microgrids with a focus on efficiency, renewable integration, and controls. She has evaluated field demonstrations of emerging technologies and has authored patents related to distribution operations and control. She received her Ph.D. in physics from Harvard University in 2011.
