Victoria Hutchison

Victoria Hutchison is a Fire Protection Engineering graduate student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. At WPI, she is conducting research on the fire hazards associated with lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (ESS) through a graduate research fellowship sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Victoria has a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Technology from Oklahoma State University, where she began her research on lithium-ion battery ESS. She has since been given the opportunity to speak to the International Association of Arson Investigators and present at the student research session of the NFPA Conference. Victoria has acquired industry experience in design and consulting at Heritage Fire Protection, Inc. She is also a student member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and holds certifications in emergency response and hazardous materials management.
